Wines

Wine is also a passion for us. The list is wide and diverse and carefully chosen, in consultation with Kevin O’Rourke, our wine man.

There’s no need to break the bank either, nor even to indulge in a full bottle. There is a good selection of both white and red wine sold by the glass so you can always have something to savour with your meal .

Champagne? Of course, served at just the right temperature either in a smaller quarter bottle or the standard size. If you want a Jeroboam we can source it for you, but please do give us some notice.

Liqueurs

Liqueurs are also available, often a forgotten part of a special meal but not at The Queen’s Head. Why not discover the pleasure of rounding off your evening with a touch of refinement?

Our wide range of liqueur coffees also hit the spot for many.

Beers

The quality and range of beers we serve has been recognised from 2007-2010 In the Good Beer Guide. We are also an accredited Cask Marque pub, which is testament to the time and care we put into our cellar management. We want the real ale drinker to make a beeline to our door as they know what they will find is good beer, served well.

Youngs Bitter, Bombardier and Directors are always available. We often have a Guest Ale and at festivals other guests are added.

If Real Ale does not do it for you then we stock a wide range of quality lagers including the well-regarded Red Stripe, alongside Carling and Carlsberg, with Guinness for those who prefer a meal as a drink.

We also stock bottled and draught ciders and, of course, a comprehensive range of soft drink.

Whatever you thirst for, we’re sure we’ve got something that will hit the spot!
